EDITORIAL: Another double issue, but with Nuremberg producing such a large crop of potentially interesting titles this year, that was always on the cards. It became unavoidable when Mike (who, you will recall, is supposed to be having a rest) rang up and said ``I've got thirty pages for you''. Highlights of the menu include John Webley looking at the top German designers, more on the Nineties and an extensive look at Die Siedler von Catan -- with a review and analysis from Mike and an `action replay' from Dave Farquhar which, though prepared independently, nicely illustrates some of the points that Mike makes in his analysis, as well as giving you a good idea of how the game plays. For the rest, it is the usual mix of lots of reviews, articles and a long letter column, where you will find more opinions on the new games. Enough, I hope, to see you through the summer.

The next issue is scheduled for two or three weeks after Essen. The quarterly schedule that I have been following would, like last year, have led to an issue appearing just before Essen, but we decided that it would be better to put it back a few weeks so that we could include some coverage of Essen. The plan is that the rest of the magazine should be complete by mid-October, leaving just the Essen report to be slotted in. Contributions for next issue should reach either Mike or myself in time to make this possible.
