This is a card game for 2-3 players, age 8 or over. The duration is 20 minutes.
The task of the player is to collect as many hearts and, at the same time, as many points (the number on a numeral card) as possible in five different colours (red, yellow, green, blue and violet).
At the end of the game only the player who collected the most hearts in one colour is allowed to keep the points in that same colour.
The winner is the player who collects the most points.
Two objects are shown in the middle of each card. The objects determine which of the six openly displayed cards may be taken by a player during the game.
Either a number or a heart of a certain colour is shown in the corners of each card. The total number of the collected numbers and hearts is important for the final settlement of the game (a numeral card with a five counts 5 points, a numeral card with a four counts 4 points etc.).
Altogether there are 50 numeral cards and 40 cards with hearts. There are 8 heart cards for each colour.
Shuffle the cards. Deal each player 2 cards which he holds in his hand. 6 cards are displayed in the middle of the table. Next to them the remaining cards are covered and stacked.
The player to the left of the person who dealed the cards begins as follows:
The player takes one card from the stack (he has now 3 cards in his hand).
The player discards one of his three cards and displays it in front of him.
The player must take each of the six cards from the middle of the table which show the same object as the card which he discarded. He displays the cards which he took from the middle, sorted by colour, next to him on the table.
If none of the six cards in the middle shows at least one matching object, the discarded card is placed under the stack of covered cards. The current player does not do steps 4 and 5. The next player continues the game.
The player moves the card he displayed into the middle of the table.
The player replenishes the cards in the middle to 6 cards by taking the needed cards from the stack and displaying them.
The game continues clockwise as described.
As the game progresses, each player receives more and more cards which he must display on the table sorted by color. The cards must be placed in such a manner as to allow easy identification of the numbers/hearts and colours.
The game is over as soon as the stack in the middle of the table is used up so that the 6 cards in the middle of the table cannot be replenished. The two cards which the players still hold in their hands are meaningless and are put aside.
Now to see who owns the most hearts in each colour. First examine red, and then examine each of the other colours.
Only the player who holds the most hearts of a colour is allowed to keep the numeral cards of that colour. This means that the player with the most red hearts is allowed to keep his red numeral cards. The other players must put aside their red numeral cards, and so on.
If two or more players each have the most number of hearts of the same colour (they tie for first place in that colour) they each keep their numeral cards of that colour.
After reviewing all 5 colours each player adds the points of his remaining numeral cards. The heart cards count zero points. The player with the most points is the winner.
